Macro Monday – November 6th 2023 – Drosera Capillaris

Happy Monday! I hope you’re well. Todays photo is of the Drosera Capillaris, also known as the pink sundew, is a species of carnivorous plant belonging to the family Droseraceae. It is native to the southern United States, the Greater Antilles, western and southern Mexico, Central America, and northern South America. Read more here.

I picked up this beautiful carnivorous plant from Facebook Marketplace. Sue Mac from Nelson brought it all the way down to Dunedin and dropped it off to me. Super cool. – Just a side note, I also brought some other types of carnivorous plants (Drosera and Pinguicula) later that were posted to me in superb packaging and condition so if carnivorous plants are your thing or you’re interested, you should totally make contact with her (you can also find her on Trademe – gypsi11 ).- you will see these in due time, they’re very beautiful and it’s quite possible that I am addicted…

Anyway, hope you have an awesome week! Thanks for visiting!

note: I had to edit this one as I accidentally called it Natalensis but it is actually Capillaris. Whoops hehe.
