Happy Monday! I hope you’re well.
Today’s photo is of the beautiful “Mary Rose” with beautiful pink petals and a beautiful old rose scent. Named to mark the recovery of Henry VIII’s flagship from the Solent after more than 400 years.
I took a bunch of cuttings from my house and my parents house (my first time doing it).
Originally 9 rooted, but they didn’t all survive. My husband put 5 of them into our garden recently and they’re flourishing. In hindsight I should’ve taken notice of the type of each rose but I didn’t so I ended up with 5 mystery roses. This is the second of three to flower. The other two turned out to be beautiful Just Joey and Margaret Merril.
The two remaining cuttings have not grown any buds yet but I can’t wait to see what they turn out to be.
Hope you have a beautiful week.
Thanks for visiting. 🙂
