Helicoverpa Punctigera, native to Australia, capable of long distance migration, sometimes ending up in New Zealand. Larvae feed on plants like peas, sunflowers and tomatoes. Females lay up to 1000 eggs in their few week life time.

Drosera binata, commonly known as the forked sundew or fork-leaved sundew. It is a large, perennial sundew native to Australia and New Zealand. The specific epithet is Latin for “having pairs” – a reference to the leaves, which are dichotomously divided or forked.

This little guy is so beautiful. I had recently lost all the pitchers on this plant but they’re finally growing back. They’re currently so, so tiny (about 5mm) and so cute. Look at all that fluff!
