Day 9
Day 8
I put some broken up pieces of bread out for the birds today (which isn’t really anything unusual for me, they’re so cute that I cannot resist feeding them) and I thought maybe if I am quiet enough this time I might be able to snap a nice picture. Not long after I put the bread out, the sparrows and starlings were munching away on the bread, seemingly happy. Until a big flock of seagulls (like 10 of them) came swooping in to steal the food! Don’t think I have ever had seagulls in my backyard in any other house I have lived in. Crazy! hehe!
Day 7
Day 6
Six days into 2017 and off to a good start here. Weather has been a bit wet and windy but everything is still looking beautiful.
I tried to capture this stunning Calla Lily in mid bloom today. The wind wasn’t helping at all, nor the lack of sun but I am happy with the outcome.
I hope 2017 has been kind to you so far. 🙂 x
Visiting Amy :)
I had a great time visiting Amy for lunch/movies yesterday. She let me take some random photos so I could get one to use for my photo a day thing. I managed to get a nice one of Alvin but I got a few other beautiful ones. (Click here to see the rest of the gallery). 🙂 It helps that they’re all so beautifully photogenic!
Plus six months later, Frankie has grown into a beautiful and healthy young kitty…
10,069 views! :)
Finally reached over 10,000 views (actually a little while ago but sadly I was too busy to notice) But I am super excited and hugely grateful to all of you who have taken the time to look at my photography!! A million thanks to everyone who has supported me over the years, you guys are awesome. It has been a long (sooo long) time since I updated anything on here but I have added a few newer photos today and hopefully I will be able to take photos more regularly soon.
New additions to…(a couple more in each category) …
Thanks again everyone! 🙂 xo

Kuri (Dog) Magnet Street, Dunedin, New Zealand.
Kuri / Dog was the only domesticated animal of the Maori and was brought to Aotearoa New Zealand by Polynesian mariners several hundred years ago.

Almost halfway through February 2014 and still going strong with my photo-a-day project.
Thanks to Waitangi Day, I was able to go travelling and took many photographs and had a great time.
Including,
- A few images of Hoiho or Yellow-eyed Penguins, out in Katiki Point, Moeraki Peninsula.
- Some beautiful lilies.
- Gorgeous Kahukowhai or Yellow Admiral butterflies.
- And saw some stunning scenery in Oamaru, New Zealand.
I have added a new page with the remaining photographs. Click here to view. 🙂
